Summer’s here–meaning it’s time for refreshing, tropical smoothies! This mango smoothie is an easy, everyday drink that works perfectly as part of breakfast or as a snack. The slightly tart kiwi cuts back the sweetness of the mango, resulting in the perfect combination.
For extra ripe fruits, squirt extra lemon or use half a mango and 2 kiwis instead. You can play around with this smoothie by substituting kiwi for a handful or berries, or for a nutritional boost, add a couple leafs of Swiss chard or a bunch of spinach leaves.
Makes 2 cups
1 1/2 cups of kefir or plain yogurt
1/2 cup of water
Squirt of lemon
1 tbs maple syrup (optional)
1. Combine all ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend until smooth. Add more water if consistency is too thick.
3. Serve and enjoy!
