Book of the Week #18: Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh

Ever read a book set in prehistoric times? Probably not. Ever read a book about two warring clans, hidden secrets, and a trickle of *gasp* second-person narration? If you haven’t, read IVORY AND BONE, this week’s Book of the Week, and one of the Scribes execs’ current reads!

IVORY AND BONE is set during prehistoric times (think Ice Age) and is about a seventeen-year-old named Kol who lives at the foot of the Great Ice. The only life he’s ever known is being a hunter; but soon, everything begins to change when another clan appears, and mysterious, stubborn, and enigmatic Mya begins to intrigue him more and more.

Just as Kol is beginning to earn her trust, another clan appears, with untold connections to Mya’s clan–and her family.

This is a mysterious and intriguing read, written differently enough to feel both fresh and inviting. If you need something new on your summer reading lists, IVORY AND BONE just released this past June, and it’s totally worth the buy!
